Driver Tips: 1. USE THE THROTTLE! i see so many new guys afraid to romp on the trigger when its needed. just because they're crawlers doesn't mean they have to crawl all the time. like when using dig to turn, most of the time a little wheelspeed will make the truck turn sharper. know how your rig performs at higher speeds, some tire/foam setups climb better when you spin them a little bit.
2. know the course before you drive it, plan ahead. as you're clearing one gate you need to be setting up for the next one. it'll help avoid un needed reverses and taking up valuable time.
3. practice as often as possible, dont be surprised if you dont perform well when you only drive your rig at competitions. the main difference between a good driver and a shitty one is experience.
4. your state of mind is the most valuable tool you have. relax. we're grown men playing with toy trucks. keep your head on straight and don't lose your temper, ive thrown rigs and radios out of frustration before and it never makes anything any better, trust me. if you make a mistake don't let it ruin the whole course, move on and try to recover from it.
