CKRC's "OTA" steering kit for the Losi comp crawler or Night crawler**.
Includes:
New 1/8" x 3/8" steel tie rod.
New aluminum low center of gravity servo mount.
2 CKRC aluminum servo clamps
Knuckle spacers and all necessary hardware needed to install.
NOTES:
This kit is not compatible with MOA kits.
**Night crawlers require a Losa1520 steering drag link kit. **HERE**
Aluminum servo mounts are recommended. They can be purchased **HERE**
Basic Installation instructions:
A. Remove your complete losi steering system.
B. Remove the rod ends, and one grub screws from your stock drag link (short). Night crawlers will need part # losa1520 for installation. next screw the 2 rod ends together with the one grub screw. end to end.
C. Remove your plastic servo mounts from the servo plate or install the CKRC aluminum ones.
D. Install your servo mounts to the new LCG servo plate with the 3x10mm screws provided in the kit.
E. Now install your servo.
F. Install the LCG mount to the axle with the (2) supplied 3x12mm screws provided. Use your stock 4/40 screw for the rear of the mount.
G. Remove your knuckles and swap them from left to right using the factory hardware. Your arms should now face backwards.
H. Next we are going to install the new ota tierod. Install the (2) 1 1/8" screws going down threw the tierod. The screw head should be on top once its installed on the car (opposite of our pictures).
They should be run in this order.
1. Tierod,
2. 1/2" included spacer,
3. then threw the knuckle. Once the screws are tight back them off 1/4 turn and then install the 4/40 nuts at the bottom of the knuckle. once installed make sure your steering moves freely from left to right.
I. Now install the rod end to the OTA tierod using the 4/40 x 5/8" button and nut provided.
J. Connect the drag link to your servo horn and then center the horn to the servo with the radio on.
K. Thats it. make sure everything is tight and have some fun with your new approach angle!
