This kit is a direct bolt on for berg axles clocked from 20 to 35 degrees. Berg axles with no clocking require minor modification.

Step 1: Separate the gear box halves and replace the 4 link mount with the new one supplied in the kit.

Step 2: Re assemble the axles. Next install the newly supplied servo mount using the stock lower berg axle clamp (FR12) and the (2) 3x16mm button head screws supplied in the kit. Leave these slightly loose for now.

Step 3: Install the servo to both the new servo mounts and the bottom of the new 4 link bracket with the supplied 3x12mm button head screws and washers. It may be required to do this several times to get the alignment of the servo brackets correct. Once everything bolts in straight. Tighten down all the mounts and servo attaching screws.

Step 4: Install the (2) 5/40 grub screws into the supplied 1" draglink. You will need to use 2 axial bent rod ends with balls to finish the draglink.

Step 5: Install the CKRC Berg High steer knuckles. NOTE: If you are running a NON clocked axle install the knuckles facing forward in the standard direction. If you are running clocked axles, run them backwards.  You may want to purchase axial bushings for the knuckles. Ax30450

UPDATE: The only issue we have seen so far is the 2 button head screws that hold the tierod to the knuckle become loose. Once loose they start moving around and then start to tighten down on the tierod. When putting in the screws leave them a little loose. Hold them with a 2.0 allen and then crank down the nut on the bottom. Disconnect the servo and make sure the steering has no bind in either direction. That is the only issue we have seen so far.

If you dont do this correctly you may burn up a servo.

Step 6: Install the tierod onto the axle in the direction noted in the pictures. Install the tierod with the supplied 3x16mm screws and 3mm nuts. The screws should be installed tight and then turned OUT about a half turn. Turn the axle left to right and make sure there is no binding. Depending on the amount of clocking the tierod may need to be bent a more or less for your application.

Step 7: Install the draglink. Once installed you may feel it necessary to shorten your upper suspension links depending on the caster you are looking for. We have shortened ours 15mm.

Set your end point adjustments and have some fun!
